What is Homam?

Homas/Havans are powerful ancient fire rituals that have been performed in India by the Vedic sages for over 5,000 years. A Homam is a ritual where offerings are made into a sacred fire. Homam facilitates this process quickly by burning various karmas which have created various layers of conditioning and thereby obstructing spiritual progress.

The special Homam is performing on the special occassion, This requires to combines 2 or 3 homam. The homam cost will be finanalised according to the customer budget and their requirement. It requires lot of discussion to make the customer to understand the importance each rituals and its cost.

Why Fire

One of the Sanskrit words for “fire” is “Paavaka”, which means “the one that purifies”. Fire is by definition pure and purifies everything that it comes in touch with. Homam is the most apt sadhana for most spiritual aspirants in this Kaliyuga, especially as the Kali deepens.

House Warming (கிரஹப்பிரவேசம்)


A Vedic ceremony done in order to clear any imbalance of energy in the home or office space. This is the traditional and appropriate ceremony to perform when entering into a newly acquired property, a house, apartment, shop or an office.

All enclosed spaces create an energy field which is further conditioned by the auras of the people who use the space and the interpersonal dynamics that occur in it. The purpose of this ceremony is to transmute the negative into a positive beneficial force and to remove all obstructive elements. It consists of a Ganesha Puja, a purificatory ceremony and an invocation of the Vastu Purusha for blessing the space and affording protection.

Apoorva - The house is constructed on a newly selected land.
Sapoorva - Entering into the house after a stay abroad or elsewhere or entering into a resold house.
Dwandwah - The house is repaired or renovated due to the damage caused by natural or unnatural calamities.

Importance of day, month & time for house warming:

Position of Sun plays an important role. It is most auspicious time then any of the days to do Gruha Pravesh as the Sun moves north or Uthirayana i.e. to Capricorn where in the rays of the Sun falls eastern and in Northern direction. Our priest comes to your door step to perform this function as per religious code.

Various Pujas done for good benefits::
  • All gods reside in the 'Cow' so it is decorated and worshiped with flowers, turmeric and kumkum. Our priest chants the mantra of Go Puja and the family people offer fruits and touches it asking for its blessings. Then the cow and calf is then taken to all rooms. If it is a flat then it is worshiped outside.
  • Another Puja is done for Threshold which is very important as it gaurds the owner and at the same time it does not permit evil forces entering the house. Here God Ganapathy, Lakshmi and Saraswathy are worshiped as they reside in the Threshold.
  • Owner enters the house -
    1. First the wife should carry a pot full of water and enter the house placing her right feet.
    2. Then her husband carring a photo of gods follows her.
    3. The children while entering the house carries grocery that represent prosperity.
    4. Finally other relatives.
  • Ganapathy Homa- Here the lord of Obstacle is evoked to remove hindrances that prevent the path for entering the house. This Homa drives all evil forces residing in the house. Ganesha smoothens the path through out the life.
  • Navagraha Homa - The word 'Griha' means planets. So our house has the influence of all 9 planets. We should appease them and get their blessings in order to get good protection from all ill effects of planets and dangers caused by our Karma.
  • Lakshmi Homa - This goddess not only gives prosperity but health too. She give us spiritual gains and beauty. All said and done a man's life does not shine without money and health.

After the Homas performed the priest is given fruits, flowers, betel leaves and nuts etc as a mark of respect then all the members take the priest's blessings. He is offered food. finally all the family members and guest partake in the feasr. At the time of leaving the house they are offered auspicious things like above depending on the financial capacity of the owners.

Important thing to be followed:

On the same day of Graha Pravesam the owner with spouse and children should stay over night. They should not keep the house locked and in dark as it is considered to bring ill luck. House warming ceremony should not be performed when the lady of the house is pregnant.




Chandi Homam (சண்டி ஹோமம்)

Chandi Homam is dedicated to Lord Durga Devi. Deity durga Devi gives continous blessing during this Homam. She is the primitive energy that is responsible for the making and abolition of this entire universe. She is the total energies of this whole universe.

A Chandi Homam is the great and one of the most powerful homam for a person getting Success in their life and also it's overcome of all kinds of Doshas and barriers in one's whole life. This homam helps a person to get success over Enemies and in the Court Cases. By performing the Maha Chandi Homa, one can become free from evil eyes, troubles, barriers and they are also bestowed with getting good health, wealth, chestity and prosperity.

Chandi yagna is the most powerful yagna in Hindu religion. It is done across India during different festival, especially during navaratri festival. Procedure involved for chandi homam:

Chandi Homam is not an ordinary Homam; it has to be performed by expert priests. The expert priests will perform the Chandi Homa by chanting the mantras from Durga Saptashati. Sudharsana Homam (சுதர்சன ஹோமம்)

A fire ritual which is done to achieve empowerment and protection - either spiritual or for some physical purpose. Sudarshana is the personification of the Discus held by Lord Vishnu. It is representative of the all-pervading Cosmic Mind. Sudarshana is one of the ’wrathful’ deities and is invoked along with Narasimha for protecting the spiritual aspirant from all negative forces that may be at work disturbing their lives and Dharma Practice.

The ritual can also be used as a type of exorcism which removes elementals and other troublesome astral entities as well as counteracting curses and spells.

Thilla Homam Remedy for Pithru Dosha

What is Thila Homam - Tila Homam, also spelled Thila Homam, is a powerful Vedic ritual performed with ‘Til’ or ‘Ellu’ to get rid of the difficulties arising due to Pithru Dosha (Ancestor Dhosham). Homam or Havanam are Hindu ritual of offering holy materials to the Agni or fire while chanting mantras. Thilahomam is mainly performed after offering Bali Tharpanam to forefathers.

Reasons for Pitru Dosha

The main reasons for Pithru Dhosham (Pitru Dosha) are the non performances of srardhams and other rituals correctly to appease our ancestors. Similarly, Pitru Dosham may happen if anyone of the family members may have died in accidents or unnaturally and the departed soul does not get peace. According to various Purans, it is referred that if any ancestors up to the 4th generation on the mother’s side and up to the 7th generation on the father’s side may have died at an early age or have had an unnatural death, the currently generation may have been suffering from Pitru Dosha. And to remove this Pitru dosha we need to perform Bali Tharpanam and Thila Homam ritual correctly and satisfy our ancestors and obtain their blessings.

Santhana Gopalakrishna Homam (சந்தான கோபாலக்ரிஷ்ணா ஹோமம்)


Santhana Gopala Krishna Homa is performed for childless couples to get a beautiful healthy child. Lord Krishna blesses the childless couple with progeny, and he will protects the new born children and gives immense knowledge by doing this homa. Mother also gets a safe and easy delivery with health. It also prevents from miscarriages.

God Krishna is worshipped in vishnu bhadraka yantra or chakrabja yantra with Tulsi leaf by chantig krishna ashtothara and vishnu sahasra nama. fruits and butter offerd sa a naivedyam. santana gopala moola mantra japa is done for santhana ghritha. Pudhra Kamesti Homam (புத்ர காமேஷ்டி ஹோமம்)

Putrakameshti is a special Yajna performed in Hinduism for the sake of having a male child/son. It is a kaamya-karma.

In the Ramayana, upon the recommendation of Sage Vashishta, King Dasharatha of Ayodhya performed the Putrakameshti Yajna under the supervision of Rishishringa Muni, who was an expert in Yajurveda, which has the guidelines for this prayer. After its successful completion, the Lord of Fire, Agnidev appeared and gave a bowl of sweet to the King of Ayodhya, which was provided to his three queens in order to promulgate his sons Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna.

Putrakameshti performed by King Dhasharatha-Rishyashringa performed the holy sacrifice and the final day of the event, a dark skinned deity appeared from sacrificial altar and handed over a vessel of payasam to Dasharatha.

Puthra Kamesti Yagam / Santhana Gopala Homam is dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. None other than Lord Maha Vishnu himself bestowed knowledge of this homa on Sanatkumara, who in turn instructed this to sage Bodhayana. It is stated in the Suta Samhita.

Performance of this Homam as ordained in Atharvana Veda fructifies begetting Children, redeeming of all paternal inherited Doshas and blessed with vibrant and prolonged healthy life with the blessings of Narayana.

Vibandaka Maharishi’s son Rishya Singar was the one who helped King Dasharatha conduct the Putra Kameshti Yagam which resulted in the birth of Raama.
